Executive Skills Coaching
Many children, young adults, and parents hit a point in their lives when they start to wonder what happened. Everything seems a little harder than it used to, new troubles emerge, and old methods do not work as well as they used to. Obstacles start to seem overwhelming.
These emerging difficulties usually reveal an unavailable or missing executive skills. These are not the skills that make for a good CEO; they are the skills that allow for a rich and effortless life. Almost everything we do outside of breathing utilizes these “executive skills.” They are the skills required to execute any action or desire or to identify and achieve any dream or goal. Ideally we were taught these skills as young children, but if we were not, we still have the power to learn them at any point in our lives, from elementary school age to deep into adulthood.
Improved executive function may increase your ability to emotionally regulate; your ability to effectively plan, adapt, and persist through completion; or your ability to self-advocate and communicate. Beyond any specific skill and more importantly, coaching can help you develop the resources, strengths, and proficiencies that you want. Together, we can develop a bedrock for success, not just in the present, but in the future as well.
